Has Obama went from being Abbie Hoffman to being General George Patton who loved the smell of battle and war?

Barack Obama is becoming more "Hawkish", at times even "George W. Bush like" as he toured the battlefields and region of Iraq! Has Barack had a change of position concerning the Iraq war, does he now believe the surge is working and victory may hinge on simply staying the course, perhaps during his term should he win in 2008? What did Baracl Obama say to the troops concerning victory for the sacrifices made by brave U.S. troops? Did Barack look them in the eye and tell them, I will pull the plug on you and your mission as soon as I am sworn into office in 2009? You will be heading home without a victory and those that made that untimate sacrifice, died in vain as America is out of here for sure, as quickly as humanly possible under my direction, regardless of my vast inexperience concerning military matters and strategic military planning on how to conduct war and be anything close to successful, although the surge is working, since I said, it would not, I cannot allow it success!
