Should Democrats bring in a candidate not from Washington to campaign against Obama and the republicans?

Wall Street will tank the economy on Obama in a reelection year if he does not do as he is told. Conservatives have already pointing out that some liberals are jumping ship and Obama is getting a business friendly reputation lately. Well if they do inflate commodities next year you can bet on $4 gal at least.
