What does it mean? (Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus) (devotion to the immaculate heart of Mary)?

One of the things I love about the Catholic Church is that there are so many different kinds of spirituality-- different practices to suit every temperament and station in life. These devotions contain different prayers and practices that help one lead a holier life. They are not a replacement for a relationship with the Lord, as some ignorant souls will insist on maintaining. They are a way of LIVING a better relationship with the Lord. They provide a way of focusing one's mind and heart throughout the day, helping one to be more patient, more loving-- literally helping one to unite oneself with God's will.
