The principal reason for using a different name is privacy. There are however other reasons. If you are a brilliant horror story author and then one day come up with a romance novel, you would most likely want a new name on the romance novel as not to distract fom your main genre. There are other reasons as well. Just give it a little thought. Best of luck.
