Why shouldn't religious charity organizations promote their beliefs in the process of saving those in need?

In addition to the trendy and tiresome Catholic bashing that's been going on throughout Western society, I've seen alot of criticism of the manner in which the church or Catholic affiliated organizations dispense their charity... It doesn't make any sense to me to go about continually bailing out the worst governments in the world in their responsibility to their people and not communicate who it is that is saving their lives. And in addition, I think its our very beliefs (and therefore philosophy of life) that empowers us to be self sufficient and then have the ability to help others. Isn't that what we want to teach others? to break this cycle of poverty, continual starvation and unsustainable living? And if we are constantly the ones putting our fingers in cracks of dikes- why shouldn't we have the right to say what we believe?
